Matheny Motors

Matheny Motors features so many bells and whistles that it would take hours to put them all to paper. Only a fraction of them are viewable to the end user that is viewing the site.  The backend features a full administration interface that allows for control of 95 percent of the site making changes simple for anybody that has been granted access to their respected areas of the site.  We have named the system eCDC for Car Dealership Control. Now that the system is built, we can re-use it for future inventory based sites that would require similar design.

Inventory Management

The site pulls from several sources to create a cumulative database of inventory used for the site. Among these sources, the site automatically pulls from the local KARPOWER application, GMBuypower’s web site, Suzuki’s inventory system, and manually entered data. This is all automated to bring together the dealerships entire inventory into one centrally located location. Once the data is gathered, it is pushed to several online auto directories such as Autotrader, Googlebase, etc.

Marketing

Matheny does an extraordinary amount of business that is not local to the area.  They have been featured in numerous publications, sponsor multiple events, and put a lot of effort into advertising with the MathenyMotors.com address. This marketing effort coupled with an online marketing strategy that we have instituted for them, has created a user base the spans the globe. Google Adwords has been a major focus of this online campaign. On a daily basis, we tweak the Adwords configuration to account for site traffic, and industry changes.  Using Google Analytics, we have the ability to track nearly every user from the time that they enter the site to the time that they leave. This granular level of tracking allows us to analyze traffic at an intense level. Understanding how the end-user is using your site is paramount when you are aiming to become more successful in using your site as a tool. With Adwords and Analytics paired together, we can tell that a user in Panama clicked an Adwords advertisement and once on the site, they made a quote request on a particular vehicle. If there is a sale made from that particular customer request, we can tie it back to the exact advertisement dollar that was spent to bring that customer to the site.

Look and Feel,

The site look and feel offers numerous flash enabled features that add to the cosmetic appeal yet do not hinder the use of the site.

Helen Hunt Real Estate
Helen Hunt Home Inventory :: The site has been built around a real estate inventory system that allows the agent to manage their own properties and keep the site completely updated Helen Hunt Home Inventory :: The site has been built around a real estate inventory system that allows the agent to manage their own properties and keep the site completely updated

The Helen Hunt Real Estate web site was the first real estate site that we had done. The goal of the site was to build a re-useable configuration that we could stand up additional real estate sites with little effort. That goal was achieved and then some. In fact, we can build a completely customized site and plug the inventory management system in a fraction of the time. If you are a real estate agent or broker, please contact us about web site services.

The site allows for complete control of the realtors inventory. Pictures, details, virtual tours, integrated maps, calculators are just a few of the features built into this system. Helen has also used the graphics from the site as part of our business identity. You will notice that Helen’s site looks much the same as her sections in a few of the local real estate publications.

MOVLUG
MOVLUG.com has seen several designs in its lifetime. One of the coolest designs mimicked the desktop of the current KDE desktop. It received a lot of praise from folks at SuSE, ThinkGeek, and several other high profile sites. It has always been important to maintain a impressive image so that sponsors know that the group worth taking interest in and supporting. The new site is built in the latest build of Joomla.  For several reasons including its popularity, it has been a target for numerous hackers. Turkish hackers often take a swing at the site from now and then.

Grand Manor Suites

Grand Manor Suites Homepage :: This is the main page for Grand Manor Suites

Grand Manor Suites was built on a budget to meet the request of the customer.  It is a very simple design to show the end-user several pictures of the suites and the features that are included. Most of the time spent on this project was promoting the web site with different hotel and resort directories on the internet.  Once again, if you build a web site and you create little to no traffic, you have not unlocked the full potential of your brand on the internet.

The Gospel Mission
The Gospel Mission site has seen numerous iterations. It started out built on the Microsoft Sharepoint Team Services infrastructure and then migrated to Mambo. It is currently undergoing a makeover and the end-state of the site should be up 1st quarter 2009

MOVLUG Forums
The MOVLUG forums existed before the MOVLUG group did. It started as an IT forum for the CIT program at West Virginia University at Parkersburg. During the conversations on those forums, the Mid-Ohio Valley Linux Users Group was created. In the beginning, the software was built on Woltlab’s Burning Board forum software. At some point in its lifetime, it was converted to the PHPBB software that it is currently running on.  I have numerous Burning Board 1.2 themes available by request if you are interested. The forums have been running for over 7 years now.

Spread MOVLUG
This was a movement that we created to spotlight the numerous efforts going on within MOVLUG.  The site was modeled after the original design of Spread Firefox. It features a very simple and clean design.  One of the cooler aspects of the site was the tracking of progress on the uber cool MOVLUG Arcade machine. The machine was built to be located in a public place to burn CDs with Linux distributions on them.

Joe Gribble Dot Com
Joe Gribble Dot Com gets changed all the time. This is where I play the most. This current design is built on Joomla’s CMS product and has LOTS of additional hacks applied to create the end-user experience that you see now.  The majority of the graphics are custom although some of the images are from local photographers that I work with.
