About Joe Gribble

About Me

Joe GribbleI grew up with technology all around me. My dad was always soldering something or playing with an old computer. In 1996, it became a profession for me when I created my very first web site. I have been growing my portfolio of experience ever since. I have many facets to my technology career but this site only serves a few of them - Web Design, Speaking, and Teaching.

Over the years, I have built a wide range of sites for my customers covering E-Commerce, Realty Sales, Car Dealerships, Professional Athletes, Sports Teams, and many more. I employ several area professionals that work with me to achieve quality results at affordable prices.

I do web design mostly for the same reason that I like to teach - I love to be a part of improvement and success. I keep my portfolio rather small so I can provide the level of service that you deserve. If I feel that your business needs would be better served elsewhere, I will be the first to tell you.

I have taught technology courses at two of the region’s best technical colleges - West Virginia University at Parkersburg and Belmont Technical College. I am a certified Microsoft Certified Trainer and Certified Cisco Academy Instructor. I was featured on Cisco.com for my work as an instructor at the Cisco Academy at WVUP. The classes I taught ranged from Cisco Intermediate level courses to the full suite of Microsoft classes including Server Administration and Security. I have also taught basic PC Repair, Network Administration and Web Design.

I co-founded the Mid-Ohio Valley Linux Users Group. We used this group to spread information on Linux use throughout our area. We partnered with several large organizations in the IT community such as SuSE, Thinkgeek and Oreilly Books to conduct monthly presentations featuring area IT professionals. During this time, I also served as the Ubuntu state representative.

As an area speaker, I have conducted a lot of workshops for local organizations. One of the workshops that is requested frequently is a "How to" workshop on using software like Frontpage and Dreamweaver to get your business online. I offer this workshop free of charge to help area organizations learn how they can put together a simple web site with tools that are readily available.

In June of 2010, I spoke on IT Service Management at the Venetian Hotel in Vegas during the big HP conference. I was a main stage speaker at the Software Summit in Washington DC this past spring.

Throughout my career, I have enjoyed the challenge of testing my knowledge. I have achieved a wide variety of certifications ranging from engineering to IT Service Management.
